Tehran is the capital of Iran. Its central Golestan Palace complex, with its ornate rooms and marble throne, was the seat of power of the Qajar dynasty. It is a cosmopolitan city, with great museums, parks, restaurants, and warm friendly people. It deserves at least a few days of your Iranian itinerary. The dry climate which is constantly cool (at least in the evenings) and the proximity of the mountains will make visit pleasant.
However, It is also a city of contrasts that play out on geographic lines. It is modern and traditional, secular and religious, rich and poor – north and south. Most of the spark comes from the affluent north, but wander through southern Tehran and you’ll see a contrastingly conservative, religious and poor city with little of the north’s brashness.
We recommend staying in Hostel or you can choose hotels from any other booking engine Makemytrip, Yatra or Hotel Meta Trivago or Momondo.
